An OVA – Virtual Onboarding Platform has two main components – the people involved and the content included.
It is important to determine who is involved in the process. It should usually include new hires, HR specialists, and managers or people reporting to new hires. These are literals. In general, the entire organization needs to be knowledgeable about the company philosophy so that each member can convey a strong and consistent message to each new employee.
It can be divided into three areas: administrative details, tasks and specifications, and company culture. Administrative details are the easiest to handle and need to be done as quickly as possible.
New employees don't have to worry about voicemail, e-mail or even access to the building, let alone all the paperwork that must be available before the first day of work. Handle these administrative details proactively so they don't become a nuisance in the future.
Duties and specifications are job descriptions and tasks that are expected of you. Before the first day on the job, employees should talk to their boss and discuss these responsibilities and expectations.
